Audiology is the scientific study of hearing and its disorders.

Audiologist are the healthcare professionals that treat people with hearing loss and prevent hearing-related damage.


They are mainly concerned with identification, evaluation, and management of patient with hearing disorders, as well as with the prevention of hearing impairment.

Audiologists are trained to-

-to diagnose, manage, and treat hearing disorders.

-to dispense, manage, and rehabilitate hearing aids.

-counsel families for hearing loss and its prevention.

-evaluate and treat certain vestibular and balance disorders.
